The Tuatara Reading group have been reading a book called "The Impossible Bridge". At the end of the book was a challenge to make a bridge out of one piece of A4 paper. It could only be cut or torn once and no cellotape was allowed. The bridge had to be strong enough to support a toy car (or in this case a plastic bug). Here are some of the creative ways they solved the problem.

Sam was proud of
how strong his
bridge was. |
 |
Grace used some
tricky folding
techniques for her
bridge support. |
 |
Anastasia & Riley combined
their resources - and those of
other "engineers" to increase
the span of their bridge. |

Hannah explored using
glue on her bridge support. |
 |
Kennedy discovered
that a paper bridge is NOT impossible
after all. |
